On Saturday the 24th we had Elsie's party. I lost my cord to my camera and our laptop is broken so I haven't been able to upload the birthday pictures but here they are!!! The party was a huge success with everything that we did. We mailed out so many invites and actually had a bunch of people come. We had the party at a Railroad Park near us so that the other kids could ride the train and play at the old west themed playground. Ryan's step mom's grandma made the birthday cake and we got Elsie her own personalized one. It was a beautiful day with sun and a breeze. Elsie got a bunch of goodies from everyone and loved the baby doll from my grandma. We had family come in from Chino Valley, all over Scottsdale, Casa Grande, Albq, NM and of course California. I was so happy all these people made time in their lives to come celebrate Elsie turning one. We didn't have a theme except for girl colors :) and we over purchased plates, napkins and pop. (Ryan says we just need to buy Captain for all the left over sprite and coca cola.) Over night Elsie became this toddler and had so much fun with all the toys she received. Thank you all so much for your company, time and all your gifts.
The next day when we went to pick up Ryan's friend Mike from the airport we met up with Gina and Chris for Starbucks before they drove back to San Diego. It was a good weekend in all. I am especially happy Elsie's grandparents made it. It was the most important to me on the guest list. Without them we wouldn't be here and neither would Elsie. They are a part of Elsie and who she is.
